From its beginnings, Pavlos has shaped Performance Practices and nurtured the programme into a thriving ecology with renowned contribution. Under his guidance and the unique research line that he created on the ‘Body in Performance’, the programme has become internationally recognized as a leader in the field both in terms of its diligent pedagogy and thoughtful content. His transition is not only a moment of reflection but also one of celebration. Pavlos’ new position is a testament to the success, recognition, and impact of the Performance Practices. It acknowledges the programme’s remarkable contribution to the field of arts education, a legacy built through the collective efforts of this vibrant community under Pavlos’ visionary leadership.

Pavlos says: “Leading this programme has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I am incredibly proud of the vibrant and dynamic community we have built together. The programme has grown into a beacon of innovation and collaboration. As we look to the future, I am confident that the new leadership will bring fresh perspectives and exciting opportunities for the programme. Your voices, creativity, and resilience are what make this programme extraordinary, and I encourage you to embrace the upcoming changes with enthusiasm.”

To mark this transition, we are exploring ways to acknowledge Pavlos’ contributions and the shared journey of the programme’s development. One such idea is to create a publication focusing on The Body in Performance, which would bring together the knowledge, research, and practices that have defined this era of the programme. We welcome your thoughts and contributions to this initiative and invite you to think with us about how best to say farewell.

As Pavlos transitions into his new role, we take this moment to reflect on the significant foundations he has built and to look ahead to the next chapter of Performance Practices' evolution. While this is a moment of change, it is also an opportunity to reaffirm the programme’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in performance practices.
